The Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management for Experienced Professionals (ExP) program at IMT, Ghaziabad is designed to develop transformational and responsible business and management leaders. The program is designed to help accelerate career growth and enable career transition for high performing business executives with a minimum five years of work experience. Our cohort consists of executives from a variety of sectors ranging from IT, Manufacturing, Energy and Consulting. The PGDM ExP program (formerly known as the PGDM Executive program) is in operation from the year 2000, and our alumni are currently placed at the upper echelons of the industry. The graduates of the ExP program are distinct individuals who are aware of industry as well as societal issues, driving organizational change and growth simultaneously with sustainability and people initiatives.

In 2022, the PGDM ExP program went through an extensive Architecture change and Curriculum review process wherein the program team consulted corporate partners, recruiters, alumni and subject experts to ensure our program caters to and exceeds industry expectations. The program is now positioned on the overlap of the increasingly convergent fields of technology and management. It offers students an opportunity to develop knowledge within emerging topic areas such as Data Science, Business Analytics, Digital Business Strategy, Business Transformation alongside the classical topics of Strategy and Leadership. The PGDM ExP program is AICTE and AACSB accredited which signifies world class standard of academic practices.

Practice Focused Pedagogy

The program offers 106 credits which are earned through core management courses, workshops and you even have the choice to opt for a specialization through cutting edge electives. We have adopted an Experiential learning pedagogy wherein we utilize Industry engagement and ‘live’ projects to help students develop and extend their practical skills. Besides extensive use of Harvard cases, there is regular interaction with Industry and Corporate leaders to help students understand contemporary business trends and problem statements. The 2021-23 PGDM ExP cohort has received 100% placements, a feat we have matched for three consecutive years. Average CTC of Rs 23.07 LPA, a median CTC of Rs 22.50 LPA, and a highest CTC of INR 39.5 LPA. The average CTC earned by the top 50% is 25.39 LPA, top 25% is INR 28.60 LPA, while INR 34.42 LPA for the top 10%. Compared to their pre-qualification CTC, the program saw a significant 158% increase in CTC. International immersion program of PGDM ExP Batch 2021-23

IÉSEG SCHOOL OF MANAGEMENT (28th August 2022- 17th September 2022)

IESEG School of Management holds “Triple Crown” of international Business School accreditations – EQUIS, AACSB, and AMBA. The institute is a member of the private Université Catholique de Lille consortium, the largest private university in France in terms of student population and endowment.

IÉSEG is one of the most recognized and academically rigorous higher education institutions in France, with more than 10,000 alumni and 7,000 students on the Lille and Paris campuses, 2,600 of which are international students representing more than 100 nationalities.


This program is a part of the compulsory international immersion of the PGDM Executive course. This year, 39 Executive students got the chance to experience this carefully curated and innovative executive development program designed by our two-decade-long partner school, IESEG School of Management, France. The students completed 6 credits, i.e. 60 classroom hours, company and cultural visits along with other holistic activities.

The program officially began on August 29 with a very insightful course on “INTERCULTURAL MANAGEMENT” by Dr. Jacob Vakkayil. Over three days of this course, the students gained a thorough understanding of the cultural elements that determine business environments around the world through discussions about strategies of action in intercultural environments.

Next, the students participated and learnt the course “STRATEGIC INNOVATION AND AI FOR BUSINESS” by Dr. Ghassan Yacoub. The objectives of this course were to make students understand the business model to encourage innovation, be aware of platforms in the global digital world and discover state of the art AI applications in business.

The third course was on “CHANGE MANAGEMENT” by Dr. Antonio Giangreco. This course focused on mapping the elements that make change management critical in the life of organizations. The students gained insights into how to use the main intervention models and were taught the best practices to manage change and minimize resistance to change.

Lastly, the students completed the course on “ADVANCED NEGOTIATION” by Dr. Jimena Y. Ramírez. They were exposed to understanding the negotiation concepts and skills in an international environment and obtained the tools to create and maintain fruitful business relationships through negotiation processes aiming to reach mutually satisfying outcomes.

To aid the learnings from the sessions, the students went on two corporate visits. First visit was at B’Twin Village of Decathlon. B’Twin Village is Decathlon World Centre for cycling and sport. The building is home to the designers of the B’twin brand. It houses a shop, a food court, an event space, showrooms, design offices, testing facilities, prototype workshops, a bike assembly factory, and a warehouse for spare parts. At Decathlon SportsLab, engineers and researchers support the decathlon brands in product design. The second corporate visit was at Euratechnologies Incubator which is the 1st European start-ups incubator accelerator that boots projects in various fields including DeepTech, FinTech, eCommerce, PropTeach, AgTeach and Robotics entrepreneurship.

Apart from academics, the students also went on a city tour of the beautiful city of Lille. First attraction was called as the LA BRADERIE DE LILLE, it was an annual street market/flea market, that took place on the weekend of the first Sunday of September in Lille. It dates back to the 12th century, and welcomes almost three million visitors each year. The Braderie de Lille is one of the largest gatherings in France and the largest flea market in Europe. The braderie has 100 km of aisles for 10,000 exhibitors. It’s a fun-filled event surrounded by concerts, a fun fair, etc.

The batch also got a chance to explore Bruges (Belgium) which is a compact city in the northern region of Flanders in Belgium. It is a well-heeled and cosmopolitan place, and is famous for its lace and its network of canals, which make it the Venice of northern Europe. It is one of the only European cities that has retained its original street layout that was built before the introduction of the automobiles. The historic city centre is small and walkable, and the students enjoyed this opportunity for cultural immersion.

Overall, it was one of the most gratifying and transformative experience for students who went through interesting and innovative learnings, both theoretically and practically. We strongly believe that this immersion program is the key feature for the program which enriches the students’ journey to become responsible global managers.
