With 39 Years of impeccable legacy, IMT Ghaziabad, a top ranked management institute in India today organised its prestigious convocation ceremony. Mr. Natarajan Chandrasekaran, Chairman Tata Sons graced the annual convocation of IMT Ghaziabad as the Chief Guest. He delivered the convocation address and conferred the medals and the awards to the meritorious students and distinguished alumni. Shri Kamal Nath, Honourable Chief Minister, Madhya Pradesh also graced the convocation ceremony and addressed the students of IMT Ghaziabad at Convocation 2019. The ceremony was held at IMT Ghaziabad campus in the presence of Students, Parents and eminent dignitaries from the industry.
Mr. Natarajan Chandrasekaran, Chairman Tata Sons encouraged the students with his words, “ Basics , Attitude and Mindset, Pressure and Stress and Fair play are the four success mantras. As an employer we have always maintained fair play since the days of inception and relentlessly works in providing transparency to its stakeholders. You are extremely fortunate that you are graduating from institute like IMT. We should always have gratitude for what we are blessed with and develop an attitude to progress in whatever you want. With right gratitude and attitude you will be able to achieve altitude.”
India’s premier management school with a distinct focus on grooming Leadership through Innovation, Execution and Social Responsibility, held Convocation 2018 on March 12, 2018, at its campus. Shri Shiv Nadar, Founder and Chairman, HCL, Shiv Nadar Foundation, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Shri Kamal Nath, President – IMT Governing Council, Member of Parliament, and Former Union Cabinet Minister presided over the event and awarded the diplomas to the graduating students.
A total number of 593 students from six programmes namely PGDM – Full Time; PGDM – Marketing; PGDM – Finance; PGDM – DCP; PGDM – Executive; PGDM – Part Time, graduated this year at the convocation ceremony. The event also announced the prestigious Distinguished Alumnus Award 2018 and Vishit Jain Memorial Award.
The 2018 Distinguished Alumni Awards were conferred upon Ms. Mamta Sakia, an alumnus of the Class of 1991, the Chief Operating Officer of Bharti Foundation, for Social/Entrepreneurial Contribution; and, Mr Sudhin Mathur, an alumnus of the Class of 1990, Managing Director, Motorola Mobility India and Country Head Lenovo Mobile Biz Group, for Corporate Excellence. Since 2005, every year IMT Ghaziabad confers a Distinguished Alumni Award to its alumni for exceptional contribution to the industry and the institute.
Sporting their academic gowns and mortarboards, the graduating students, filled with excitement, became a part of the Annual Convocation 2017 at Institute of Management Technology (IMT), Ghaziabad, India’s premier management school. This much-awaited day in the life of a college student, was graced by Sunil Bharti Mittal, founder and chairman, Bharati Enterprises, Kamal Nath, president, IMT Governing Council and Dr Atish Chattopadhyay, Director, IMT.
“I am delighted to be a part of the Convocation Programme 2017 of IMT, Ghaziabad. Congratulations to all the students for completing the academic Programmes successfully. It’s a very important moment in your life, as you prepare to start your professional careers,” said Sunil Bharti Mittal, Founder and Chairman, Bharati Enterprises while addressing the audience. He also said, “India is going to remain one of the most exciting places in the world for young people in the coming decades. Seize the opportunity, and be a change leader in the field you choose.” A total of 545 students graduated from six different programmes, namely Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) – Full Time, PGDM – Finance, PGDM – Marketing, PGDM – Dual Country Programme (DCP), PGDM – Executive, and PGDM – part time, while 12 won gold and silver medals for academic achievements.
“It is a matter of great pleasure to witness a large variety of success stories emanating from IMT Ghaziabad in continuation of its cherished legacy of excellence of 36 years. I am happy to note that at IMT Ghaziabad, concerted reinvention of learner experience is underway so that its graduates continue to remain not just future-ready, but future-proof !” said Kamal Nath, president, governing council, adding, “It is heartening that the celebrated pedagogy at IMT is being re-imagined with a number of creative disruptions resulting in learning by doing.”
The event ended with the national anthem followed by a press meet with chief guest, Sunil Bharti Mittal and Kamal Nath where the hurdles faced by students after graduation, technological shifts in jobs and more were discussed.
