Applicants for all IMT PGDM and MBA programs must have a minimum three-year Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with minimum 50 percent aggregate marks in any discipline. Applicants who are appearing for the final-year degree examination can also apply, subject to submission of all mark sheets and pass certificate to IMT’s Academic Program office at a later date. Failing to do so will result in admission being cancelled.
To apply for IMT Ghaziabad’s two year PGDM program, applicants must be registered for CAT-2019 OR XAT-2020 OR have taken/taking the GMAT (January 1, 2016 – February 28, 2020). In the case of the candidates applying on the basis of GMAT and score is not provided, processing of application will be provisional, subject to IMT receiving the official GMAT score on or before March 15, 2020.
IMT Nagpur and IMT Hyderabad:
To apply for IMT Nagpur and Hyderabad’s 2 year PGDM program, applicants must be registered for CAT-2019 OR XAT-2020 OR CMAT- January,2020* OR have taken the GMAT (1st January 2016 – February 28, 2020). In case of the candidate(s) applying on the basis of GMAT and score is not provided, processing of application will be provisional, subject to IMT receiving the official GMAT score on or before March 15, 2020
Note: CMAT- January,2020* test will be considered for IMT Nagpur and IMT Hyderabad Campus ONLY.
IMT shortlists applicants on basis of best score among the above mentioned tests.
Applicants for the MBA program at IMT Dubai must have a full time undergraduate degree (Bachelor’s degree) from an accredited university with a CGPA of 3.0 and above on a 4.0 scale or 50% or equivalent.
Applicants whose native language is not English are required to take an English Proficiency Test. The minimum required score for TOEFL is 550 (paper-based) and 79(internet based) or an IELTS band of 6.0.

Submitting your application
To apply to IMT, an applicant must complete the online ‘Application Form’. There is one Common ‘Application Form’ for all four campuses – IMT Ghaziabad, IMT Nagpur, IMT Hyderabad and IMT Dubai (August 2020 intake).
In the ‘Application Form‘ the candidate must provide educational qualifications, contact details, etc. and at least one of the following: ID for CAT-2019 OR ID for XAT-2020 OR ID for GMAT OR Roll-No for CMAT- January 2020*. IMT Ghaziabad will be accepting CAT OR XAT OR GMAT scores. IMT Nagpur and Hyderabad will be accepting CAT OR XAT OR GMAT OR CMAT scores. The applicant is required to fill the IDs of the entire test score he/she wishes to submit.
Note: CMAT- January, 2020* test will be considered for IMT Nagpur and IMT Hyderabad Campus ONLY.
After completing the form, the applicant can make payment through Credit/Debit card or Net Banking:
Pay directly through Credit/Debit card or Net Banking: If the payment goes through and ‘Application Number’ is generated, the application is considered submitted. Applicants will receive a confirmation email within the next 24 – 48 hours.
Short-listing of applicants for Personal Interview process (PI):
This year, applicants may submit any one of test scores: CAT-2019 OR XAT-2020 OR GMAT (1st January 2016 – February 28, 2020) OR CMAT – January ,2020 (Nagpur & Hyderabad only) score. Applicants can submit more than one test score. GMAT test based candidates are required to update their test score, on or before March 15, 2020. For candidates applying on the basis of GMAT with pending scores, the processing of application will be provisional. IMT will consider the best score before making the final admit offer.
Applicants will be short-listed for Personal Interview round on the basis of one of the following test score available CAT 2019 OR XAT 2020 OR GMAT OR CMAT – January, 2020 (Nagpur & Hyderabad campus) at this stage.
Applicants will be called for Personal Interview process only once. The candidates who have applied on the basis of more than one test score, the best score of such candidates shall be taken into the consideration at the time of Admission Offer. Please note that the Personal Interview process is common for all campuses.
Short-listed applicants will be called for the Personal Interview round at the center/venue they have selected/will select in Common ‘Application Form‘ and on the date and time which they will select through the Personal Interview Schedule Form, which will be available on IMT’s Admissions Portal and enabled for specific time period in the month of January 2020.
Admission decisions will be made after the Personal Interview process and admission offers will be made to the selected applicants.

All PGDM programs for academic year 2020 commences in June 2020. The IMT Dubai 2 year MBA program commences in August 2020.

If I choose to submit more than one type of score (example CAT, XAT, GMAT OR CMAT ) will I be required to pay a separate fee for each score?
No, you are not required to pay separate fee for each score. You need to fill in only one IMT Application form and you pay Rs 2000/- plus applicable taxes, irrespective of the number of scores submitted. IMT considers the best score among available test scores before giving out final offer to candidates. You have to enter one test (Roll No/ID), if applicable. For example, if you are applying on the basis of CAT 2019 OR XAT 2020 test, enter CAT OR XAT ID. You also have the option of submitting other test scores as well. If you are applying ONLY on the basis of GMAT OR CMAT and have not yet registered for test, you can put the test name only in the particular section. Once you have registered for the test, you can edit your Application Form by logging in from the IMT Admissions Portal
Are there any sectional cut-offs while short listing for interviews?
IMT considers the aggregate scores and does not have separate sectional cut-offs when short-listing applicants for PI process.
Is there one Common Application Form for all campuses? Do I have to individually list the campuses I am interested in?
There is one Common Application Form for the four campuses – Ghaziabad, Nagpur, Hyderabad and Dubai. In the online Application Form, you need to mention your campus preference. At least two campuses have to be mentioned or maximum of all campus preferences can be entered. At the time of final offering you will be informed about the campus you are selected for.
How to calculate percentage in 10th and 12th standard?
Please mention aggregate percentage of marks for all subjects (including optional subjects) irrespective of your Board regulations.
Please note: DO NOT TAKE YOUR BOARD RULES OR OTHER RULES USED BY YOU EARLIER WHILE CALCULATING PERCENTAGE. YOU ARE TO USE THE ABOVE RULE WHICH CLEARLY STATES THAT ALL SUBJECTS INCLUDING YOUR OPTIONAL SUBJECTS ARE TO BE TAKEN INTO CONSIDERATION WHILE CALCULATING YOUR 10TH AND 12TH STANDARD PERCENTAGE.
For example, if you have studied 7 subjects INCLUDING ALL optional subjects, all 7 subjects must be taken into consideration irrespective of your board rules and regulations.
How do we submit copies of CAT, XAT, CMAT and GMAT score?
CAT 2019 and XAT 2020 scores are provided to IMT by test conducting agency.
For candidates who have got a final admit offer from IMT, official GMAT score needs to be provided via GMAC. For the purpose of Application processing, GMAT score need to be updated through IMT Admissions Portal by 15 March 2020. Application will be processed provisionally.
For CMAT 2020 score, you will be able to update through IMT Admissions Portal immediately.
How do we provide official GMAT score to IMT?
Standard guidelines for acceptance of Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT®) score report are given as under:
At the time of appearing for the GMAT exam, prior to starting the test, you will have the option of selecting the program(s)* of your choice where you can send your GMAT score free of cost.
They will send the score electronically or by mail, depending on the programs’ preferences. This service is covered by your GMAT™ exam registration fee. Once you have made your selections, they cannot be changed.
To have your scores sent to additional programs, you have the following options:

- Kindly follow the steps mentioned on webpage for sending your score to additional schools.
Please note that only electronic GMAT score reports will be accepted.
*At the time of appearing for the GMAT, a candidate can apply to any 5 programs free of cost.
How do I know which scores to submit?
You can choose to submit more than one score. IMT will choose the best score before giving out the admission offer.
How many students will be admitted in 2020?
IMT Ghaziabad has an approval of 420 seats in PGDM, 60 seats in BFS and 180 in Dual Country PGDM, IMT Nagpur has an approval of 360 seats in PGDM and IMT Hyderabad has an approval of 240 seats in PGDM
If I make payment online, do I have to send IMT anything afterward?
No. Once your online payment goes through and your ‘Application Number’ is generated, your application is considered complete. You do not have to post/email anything to IMT.
Can I fill more than one application and appear more than one time in selection process?
No, you can not appear more than one time in selection process. It will be deemed as a fraudulent activity if one attempts to appear more than once. To ensure this your Identification document will be checked at the time of Personal Interview process and your final registration process at IMT Campus
Why Identification Document details are required?
Identification document details are needed in order to verify the applicants as well as for prevention of fraudulent activities. The identification of candidate will be done through Identification document during the admission process. Candidate has to provide any one identification document details of the following. The ONLY ID proof/s which are accepted by IMT are:
1. PAN Card
3. Valid Driving License
4. Voter’s ID card
5. Aadhar Card
The above has to be of the applicant who is applying to IMT. WE DO NOT ACCEPT ID PROOF OF PARENTS, RELATIVES, and SIBLINGS etc. in any stage of the admissions process.
What factors are considered in short-listing applicants for Personal Interview?
For IMT Ghaziabad, applicants are short-listed for Personal Interview process (please look at Admissions Criterion and process for details of same) based on one of the following admitted scores: CAT 2019 OR XAT 2020 OR valid GMAT scores. GMAT score January 1st, 2016 – February 28, 2020.

What are the different factors considered in making a final offer?
The following factors are considered in making a final offer: Academic record, Performance during the PI process and overall profile. Experienced candidates are further evaluated on the relevance and quality of their work experience.
How to convert CGPA into percentage?
1. Please follow your university/institution stated rule for conversion of CGPA into percentage.
2. In case your university/institution does not have any scheme or rule to convert CGPA into percentage, the same can be done by dividing the candidate’s CGPA by the maximum possible CGPA and multiplying the result with 100.
When will I be asked about my preferences for Campuses and Programs?
You have to enter the Campus and Program preferences at the time of online application.
What program name a candidate should give the program code / program name / School name for providing official GMAT score to IMT?
Candidate can search by typing ‘IMT’ only or ‘Ghaziabad’ only in the search box at the time of application to GMAT.
If I have already taken GMAT test, how I can provide electronic GMAT score report?
For candidates who have already taken GMAT post 1 January 2016 and before filling in the IMT online Application Form, please provide Official GMAT score by paying the additional score fee to GMAC. This is only applicable in case the candidate gets admission offer from IMT. The official GMAT scores needs to be provided on or before the registration to the program. IMT needs the final official score of the student at the time of registration of the candidate on campus.
For candidates who have not taken GMAT before filling in the online application form, they can do so on or before February 28, 2020. You are required to send us the unofficial scores via scan to email@example.com by February 28, 2020 and the official scores on or before15 March 2020. For such candidates, IMT will process the application provisionally, subject to final GMAT score.
What are the specializations being offered at IMT Ghaziabad/ Nagpur/ Hyderabad/ Dubai?
At this point in time do I need to send my academic transcripts/documents?
No. At this point in time you are not required to send/mail/upload your academic transcript/documents.
What if I don’t get a confirmation email within 24 hours of completing my application?
In case you do not receive a confirmation email on completing the online application, you can still log on to the ‘Admissions Portal’, which will have the updated status on your application.

If I have made any mistake(s) while applying at IMT, Can I make changes later to rectify?
You can edit your application by logging in to IMT Admissions Portal . You will not be able to edit the name of candidate. Editing facility on application would be available for limited period only till January 2020.
Does IMT have links with banks for student loans?
Yes. Currently we have links with Bank of Baroda and Indian Bank. Applicants need to visit the branches of these banks directly with Admissions offer letters (if offered admissions in any campus of IMT) to avail the loan facilities.

Why IMTG has decided to launch the PGDM (BFS) Programme?
With digitization, increase in credit risk of leading to the corporate sector, which operates in VUCA world, and tightening of regulations, management of banks and financial institutions will become very challenging in the near future. Therefore, companies operating in the banking and financial services sector are looking for budding managers with the right skills and knowledge, who can be groomed as leaders to manage bank and financial services companies in the new era.
Moreover, consultancy firms advising banks and financial institutions are finding a shortage of executives with the right skills and knowledge. IMTG has decided to leverage its capabilities to groom young bright students who shall lead the banking and financial services sector in India.
What is the duration of the programme and when it will commence and when it will conclude?
The PGDM (BFS) Programme will commence and conclude in synchronization with other PGDM -2year Full- Time programmes.
What is the expected placement?
On an average 30 percent of IMTG graduates are recruited by companies operating In the BFS sector and 13 percent are recruited by consultancy firms. Some of the Companies, which recruit IMT graduates are , Deloitte, Goldman Sachs, Citi Banks, KPMG, PWC, HSBC, Accenture, Credit Suisse, ICICI Bank, Tata Capital and Royal Bank of Scotland. All the 131 students of PGDM (Finance) Programme (2017-19) batch have been placed. The batch Size of PGDM (Finance) Programme (2019-21) is targeted at 60. Therefore, placement of students of PGDM (BFS) is almost assured, although IMTG cannot guarantee placement. The placement is expected to be as good as PGDM (Finance) graduates, if not better.
Who will teach the courses?
40 percent of the courses will be delivered by the faculty members of the Vlerick Business School and balance courses will be delivered by IMTG faculty members and Industry experts. The USP of IMTG is that it invites industry experts (primarily Practicing managers), to deliver a full course in a highly specialized topic. The same practice will be followed in the case of PGDM (BFS) Programme.
Whether a student can shift to any other IMTG programme after joining PGDM (BFS) programme?
What will be the batch size of PGDM (BFS) Programme?
IMTG has applied to AICTE for approving 60seats. The target batch size is 60 students.
What is the PGDM (BFS) Programme Architecture?
Vlerick Business School is developing the PGDM (BFS) Programme Architecture with inputs from IMTG. Courses will be contemporary, and relevant for BFS industry with futuristic orientation. All the courses will be compulsory.

Whether it is mandatory to spend one term in the Vlerick campus in Belgium and if so, whether students have to bear the cost?
It is yet to be decided whether students will have to spend mandatorily one term in the Vlerick campus in Belgium. If it is made mandatory, the cost will be borne by the Institute. Most probably, it will be optional and like Exchange Programme for other students, students opting for the same will bear the cost.
