The Post Graduate Diploma Program in Management – Dual Country Program (PGDM – DCP) of IMT Ghaziabad, is a premium offering designed to equip budding managers with global ambitions to the changing realities of the World Economy. Participants of the program spend multiple terms in campuses in Ghaziabad and Dubai for undertaking the course work. The rigorous two-year full-time programs are interspersed with international internships, short-term, and long-term projects, international immersion modules and equip the candidates with the necessary hard and soft skills to immerse and excel as a global leader. The revamped program architecture offering super specializations in Advanced Quantitative Finance, International Trade and Logistics, and International Business and Law trains the participants to acquire nuanced and specialized skillsets necessary for accelerated careers in global settings.

Program Architecture (AY 2021-23)

The participants spend the first two Terms at IMT Ghaziabad undertaking the core courses. The super specialization tracks build on the foundations of the Core Courses in the first two Terms and prepare the participants for specialized careers in areas of their choice. The super specialization tracks begin in Term 3 at IMT Dubai where students undertake Core Electives in each of the super specialization tracks in addition to the core courses. The participants undertake Summer Internship Assignments, post Term-3, supported by the placement offices at IMT Ghaziabad and IMT Dubai. Year 2 of the Program involves electives in the super specialization tracks in Term 4 & 5 at IMT Dubai. A UAE Immersion module and an Integrated Project are also incorporated into the course curriculum. The participants of the program complete the Final Term at IMT Ghaziabad. The students participate in the final placements at IMT Ghaziabad, with an option of exploring International placement opportunities supported and coordinated by the Placement Offices of both the campuses.


All courses provide training through collaborative and experiential teaching, and the pedagogies employed to reflect a student-centered approach. The curriculum comprises integrated projects for hands-on experience in real workplaces in addition to structured classroom lessons. For delivering the courses, the Institute engages with the best academicians, luminaries in international business practices, and industry experts from the specialized fields of finance, international business and law, and international trade and logistics.

Super Specialization Tracks

The Advanced Quantitative Finance curriculum has two focus areas: Financial Markets and Financial Intermediation. From a financial markets perspective, the courses focus on assumptions (rationality and risk aversion) that are key to understanding well known techniques such as portfolio optimization and models such as the Capital Asset Pricing Model (CAPM). The objective of these courses are to take students on a journey starting with assumptions that leads to models (Modelling), which can then be tested on data (Econometrics). From a financial intermediation perspective, the focus would be on banking (including shadow banking) and risk management by institutions. Students will also be introduced to game theoretic issues such as adverse selection and moral hazard in banking. The participants also undertake a course on Islamic banking which would help them better understand the nuances of the financial sector in the Middle East.

The Super Specialization on International Trade and Logistics is rooted in the positioning of Dubai as a global transshipment hub, a trade and distribution gateway to the entire Middle East and large parts of Africa and Europe.  The Program Structure of this Super Specialization has been designed keeping in view the above context and complexities and contours of international supply chain and logistics. A thorough understanding and comprehension of the roles and functions of international bodies that govern international trade such as the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), World Trade Organization (WTO), World Customs Organization (WCO), and the United Nations Centre for Trade Facilitation and Electronic Business (UN/CEFACT), are some of the critical dimensions under focus as part of this track apart from technological developments such as block chain or digitization that significantly impact international supply chains.

The super specialization in International Business and law is designed to help the participants develop the knowledge, attitude, and skills to work in diverse global businesses. The courses range from game theory applications to public and private international laws required in the worldwide labor market and essential to cope in the wider business communities. The course curriculum will provide the participants with a deep understanding of international business and law theoretical frameworks, focusing on practice-oriented pedagogy.
