Brief Profile

Dr. Sapna Popli is a professor of Marketing at IMT Ghaziabad. She has close to 25 years of work experience, over these years she has handled various roles that of a teacher, trainer, researcher, corporate executive, and an academic administrator & leader. She offers specialized electives in marketing including services marketing, customer experience management and cross-cultural marketing. She has also been offering full-credit courses as an international visiting professor at La Sabana, Colombia, 2019; ESCA, Morocco (2016, 17 & 18) and Shanghai University, China (2005). She is an equally passionate researcher in the service domain, her work has published and awarded in reputed journals including the Journal of Service Theory & Practice (A), Journal of Services Marketing (A), Journal of Marketing for Higher Education & Global Business Review to name a few. She also works closely with industry in the learning and development space and has led many MDPs for working professionals across sectors for organizations like Maruti Suzuki India Ltd (leading Customer experience and Sales leadership program), Hero MotoCorp (Future leaders Program), IBM-Daksh; Pantaloons Retail (Future Group); Max-Health Care (Long term management programs).

In her previous organization she was the director of the business school and had successfully led the school for many years handling accreditations, international partnership development, curriculum & program development. Sapna also works closely with XeD Global, an executive education start-up firm as a member of the advisory council, where she is engaged in strategic advisory and mentorship of young XED-ians.


Professor Popli has a Doctoral (FPM) in services marketing from IMI, New Delhi

MDP/Executive Education

Led and facilitated sessions in a large number of MDPs for public and private sector clients. Some of the clients include Maruti Suzuki India Ltd, Hero MotoCorp, BHEL, NHDC, Apollo Tyres, EIL. She has also been a Assessment and Development Centre consultant for Aon-Hewitt and engaged with many organisations in that role. She is also an approved trainer for the V.V.Giri National labour Institute.
