I teach courses in Finance but also teach the core Business Statistics and Microeconomics courses offered in Business Schools. In the Finance Area, I have taught, previously, courses like Corporate Finance, International Finance, Project Finance and Financial Services.

 My research interests lie in empirical microeconomics as applied to banking and also in empirical macroeconomics as applied to international finance, especially exchange rate economics.

After joining business school as an academic, I have mainly done interdisciplinary research where I have contributed my modest skills in research design and data analysis to various projects with my colleagues in the Marketing, Human Resources and Operations Management areas. This is largely because these fields offer a huge range of interesting behavioural issues in management to study. The projects have been mainly bibliometric studies and meta-analytic synthesis of published research. One reason for this is that data for these studies is reproducibly available. Also while bibliometric studies provide rich insights into the thematic development of a research field, meta-analytic studies help consolidate extant research on a specific problem in a scientific manner. I have also learned a bit of data handling and analysis while doing these studies. Nevertheless, I am also currently working on survey based research involving structural equation modelling of response data.
