Finance Committee
About
In the words of Benjamin Franklin, “Investment in knowledge always pays the best interest”. We, at Finance Committee invest in knowledge and share our interests with our peers.
Finance Committee, started in 2018 with the amalgamation of FinNiche and Finnacle Investments, is the finance wing which aims to make IMT the perfect spot for finance enthusiasts. Its vision is to increase the financial awareness among the students and complement their classroom learnings by giving them opportunities to understand the real financial world. This objective is achieved through the various competitions, workshops and guest lectures held throughout the year.
The intra college and inter college competitions organized by the finance committee namely Open Outcry and RisCon see participation in huge numbers and it aims at evaluating the acumen of students in the financial domain through case-study and online trading.
The committee publishes a fortnightly newsletter, FinShastra which is a one-stop magazine for all the biggest financial news and trending topics.
In addition to this, we also conduct FinGyaan sessions for our batchmates as a part of our peer learning objective. These sessions help the students clarify any doubts they might have in the topics covered as part of the curriculum while also helping them revise for their assessments.
