IMT Ghaziabad Library Successfully Hosts “Festival Of Books-7th Annual Book Festival 2026”

The IMT Ghaziabad (IMTG) Library successfully organised the Festival of Books – 7th Annual Book Festival 2026 on January 21, 2026, at IMT Ghaziabad Campus. The event emerged as a vibrant celebration of knowledge, learning, and community engagement, witnessing enthusiastic participation from faculty members, students, researchers, and leading publishers.

The Annual Book Festival 2026 offered an excellent opportunity for the academic community to explore a rich and diverse collection of books aligned with teaching, learning, and research interests. Renowned national and international publishers showcased a wide range of academic publications, reference materials, and leisure reading resources, enriching the IMT Library’s collection

The Festival of Books 2026 was formally inaugurated by Dr. Atish Chattopadhyay, Director, IMT Ghaziabad, who highlighted the critical role of books and libraries in nurturing intellectual curiosity, innovation, and lifelong learning. A key highlight of the inauguration was the unveiling of the book 40 Hours Unbounding, authored by Vineet Singh, an alumnus of IMT Ghaziabad, the 2020 batch. The book launch inspired students and faculty alike, showcasing the achievements of IMT alumni beyond campus. The inaugural session concluded fostering informal interaction among participants.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Puja Aggarwal, Chairperson, Library Committee, said, “The Festival of Books is an important academic initiative that strengthens the bond between faculty, students, and knowledge resources. Such platforms not only support teaching and research but also encourage a culture of reading and continuous learning across the campus.”

Dr. Akhtar Hussain, Head – Library, IMT Ghaziabad, also shared his views, stating, “Our Annual Book Festival plays a vital role in connecting the IMT academic community with quality scholarly resources and publishers. It reflects the library’s commitment to continuously upgrading its collection in line with evolving academic and research needs.”

Throughout the day, participants actively interacted with publishers, explored emerging trends in academic publishing, and selected valuable resources across management, social sciences, and general interest domains. The event reaffirmed the IMT Ghaziabad Library’s mission to support academic excellence and foster a dynamic, knowledge-driven environment.
