Faculty Initiatives on Teaching and Learning
Integrating a diverse range of instructional methods and pedagogical initiatives is essential for fostering a holistic and impactful learning environment. Experiential learning workshops, such as those focused on corporate grooming and etiquette, mindfulness, design thinking, and entrepreneurship, offer students hands-on, immersive experiences that bridge theoretical knowledge and practical application.
Data science workshops and Bloomberg simulations further enhance students’ technical competencies, enabling them to navigate and interpret complex datasets and financial models effectively. Lab-based courses, including those on analytics, big data, and visual analytics for business applications, offer a more in-depth, practical understanding of current technological tools and their applications in various business contexts.
Additionally, the use of video cases in courses enriches the learning experience by providing real-world scenarios for analysis and discussion, fostering critical thinking and decision-making skills. Incorporating contemporary magazine and newspaper articles on current topics ensures that students stay informed about the latest trends and developments in their fields, encouraging continuous learning and engagement with current affairs. These pedagogical initiatives collectively create a dynamic, interactive, and practical learning environment that prepares students for the challenges of the modern professional world.
