Brief Profile

Ms. Tania Chatterjee is a PhD candidate jointly enrolled at IIT Delhi and the University of Queensland, Australia. Her doctoral research is on the regulation of social media platforms in India at both the policy and practice levels. She has published in journals such as New Media & Society, Communications of the Association for Information Systems, and Economic & Political Weekly. She has also presented her work at Yale Law School, the Association of Internet Researchers, and the International Association for Media and Communication Research. Ms Chatterjee’s research interests lie at the intersection of the internet, communication, and regulation, with a particular focus on the humans-in-the-loop who shape and sustain online communicative practices, as well as the regulatory ambiguities surrounding emerging technologies.
