Dr Nihar Amoncar has over 10 years of experience within the Higher Education industry as an academic and as Co-founder of an educational services start-up. He is currently the Chair of the PGDM Executive program at IMT-Ghaziabad. He completed his PhD in Business from University of South Wales with full scholarship and received an MBA degree from South Wales Business School with Merit award. Dr Nihar serves on the Advisory Board of GRCME, USA and is a Steering committee member of the ESBM Special Interest Group at Academy of Marketing, UK. He is also a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, UK.

Prior to joining IMT, Dr Nihar was associated with University of Derby as Director of MBA programs wherein he oversaw the restructuring and strategic growth of four distinct MBA programs. He has also served as Program leader of MBA Global programs at University of South Wales wherein he designed a full suite of MBA Global programs with unique specializations and developed international B2B partnerships at the business school level. Dr Nihar has been awarded the University Best Lecturer Award and Business School Best Lecturer Award at University of South Wales, he has won Best Paper Awards at international conferences for his research and has published several articles in ABS and ABDC ranked journals. He also delivered a TedX talk on the Role of Social Media in Politics in 2019.

Dr Nihar has a wide range of experience in consultancy assignments which included working with International Centre of Goa, Goa Co-op Marketing and Supply Federation ltd, Welsh Automotive Forum (UK), CATNIC, UK (a Tata Steel Enterprise) and Seren Group (UK). He is currently leading the development of Centre for Enterprise and Business Improvement (CEBI) at IMT-G and is closely involved in the Innovation/Entrepreneurship incubation platform.
