His teaching interests span the broader domains of Artificial Intelligence and Data-driven decision-making. He has taught a variety of courses, including Natural Language Processing, Data Science and Machine Learning, Business Analytics, Management Information Systems at the Master’s level, as well as Mathematical Methods for Research at the PhD level at IIM Kashipur. He has also supervised numerous research projects across MBA Analytics, Executive MBA Analytics, B.Tech, M.Tech, and Dual Degree programs in areas such as Machine Learning, Finance, NLP, Generative AI, and optimization—both within IIM Kashipur and for students from other premier institutes, including IITs.

Dr. Shahee holds a Ph.D. from the Shailesh J. Mehta School of Management, IIT Bombay, where his doctoral work explored the challenges of class imbalanced data under intrinsic data characteristics. He also co-authors the book Fundamentals of Data Science using Python and R, published by Wiley. His research has appeared in reputed international journals such as Data Mining and Knowledge Discovery, Applied Intelligence, the International Journal of Artificial Intelligence and Soft Computing, and the Journal of Forecasting, as well as the Springer book series Advances in Data Mining: Applications and Theoretical Aspects. His current research interests include Machine learning under class imbalance, Generative AI and LLMs, NLP applications in Finance, Statistical Learning, and Numerical Optimization.
