Dr S N Ghosh has extensive domain expertise in Company Law, Securities Laws, Commercial Laws, Regulatory Finance (Banking and Insurance), Employment Laws, Contract Management and Government Process Reengineering/Business Process Reengineering, DPR/RFP (Regulatory perspective). He has industry experience with roles such as Senior Consultant for DEA-NFM Research Programme, Ministry of Finance, Govt. of India and Senior Partner for SK Attorneys.

In his role as Executive Director (Finance & Legal) and Company Secretary for Modi Rubber Limited, one of the top listed tyre manufacturing companies of India from the Modi conglomerate, he was overall in charge of Finance and legal compliance of the company as well as other group companies generally listed. He successfully handled four significant labour strikes in the factory and gained full and varied stand-alone experience in Indian and English Corporate and Securities laws with an exemplary Board, Committee and shareholders servicing, and core legal and statutory compliance matters in this era of Corporate Regulatory regime. He also has a comprehensive knowledge of the Code of Best Practices, Listing Regulations and various related Corporate and Securities laws, their practical interpretation and statutory compliances.

He also has extensive research and teaching experience as a Senior Consultant (Policy & Regulatory Framework) at the Department of Economic Affairs-NIFM Programme, Ministry of Finance and as a Visiting Faculty and Guest Lecturer at prestigious institutes such as NLU Delhi, National Academy of Legal Studies and Research (NALSAR), Indian Law Institute and National Institute of Financial Management.

Dr S N Ghosh has conducted Policy Research on critical topics such as a Case study on Remonetisation of High Currency Notes in India, a Study on ex parte ad interim Orders Issued by SEBI (2008-2018), Reforms in Investors’ Grievances Redressal Mechanism system, Harmonization of Companies Act with Securities Laws, Regulatory Impact Assessment in regulation-making in India, Direct Market Access to Retail Individual Investors in India and many more.

He has written several books, including – Laws governing Corporate Governance, Treatise on Securities laws in India (A research-based seminal book for the first time in the country) and Contract Management in PPP. He has also conducted many workshops, seminars, paper presentations and publications throughout his career.
