POST GRADUATE DIPLOMA IN MANAGEMENT DUAL COUNTRY PROGRAMME (DCP)

2 year PGDM Dual Country Program approved by AICTE and accredited by AACSB. One of a kind full time PGDM program in India which offers unique super specialisations and new age courses

The PGDM – Dual Country Program (DCP) by the IMT group of institutions is a multi- country program offered by the IMT Group of institutions. Over the last decade, DCP has emerged as a front runner among similar program offered in India. PGDM – DCP is intended to address the limitations of the conventional programs, by infusing international elements into the core of the Program. As the name itself signifies, the aspirants of the program spend a year each in two countries, namely India and UAE, with 3 terms each spent at the IMT Campuses in Ghaziabad and Dubai. The focus of the program is to mould the students for international careers, done though a steady mix of customized course content, course delivery by international faculty, short term and long term projects, and a prolonged and sustained exposure to a multi-cultural business environment in Dubai. The customized program design provides the DCP students a holistic international perspective and the specialized skillsets necessary to excel in a global career.

As a continuous process of improvisation and bringing in contemporary ideas with industry focused specializations, starting with the AY 2021-23, the program offers the following:

Major Specialization term wise courses

Advanced Quantitative Finance

The Advanced Quantitative Finance curriculum has twin focus areas, namely, Financial Markets and Financial Intermediation. The financial markets segment, will commence with the study of issues such as investor rationality and risk aversion, which is the cornerstone of modern Finance. This foundation, will lay the platform for the study of well-known techniques such as portfolio optimization, which in turn will lead to models such as the Capital Asset Pricing Model (CAPM), the Arbitrage Pricing Theory, and the Black-Scholes model. The focus of these courses is to take students on a journey starting with assumptions that leads to models, what we may call the Modelling Phase, which in turn can be tested using econometric techniques and real data, which may be termed as the Empirical Phase. The financial intermediation perspective, focuses on banking, including shadow banking, and issues pertaining to risk management by institutions, such as asset liability management and value at risk (VaR). Students will also be introduced to agency theory related issues such as adverse selection and moral hazard in banking, financial services and insurance. The participants will also undertake a course on Islamic banking which would help them better understand the nuances of the financial sector in the Middle East. This style of banking is gaining importance in countries outside this region as well, due to the financial muscle of entities in Arab countries.
