Taking an example of Big Data Lab, the specifications of the systems match with what is currently required in the real world, when it comes to dealing with huge amount of data. My favourite part about learning at IMT is the practitioner sessions. When I heard the term “practitioner session” for the first time, I expected a simple guest lecture. Instead, we got the opportunity to learn about some topics in our syllabus from industry stalwarts - people who were currently working and had years of experience to share with us. Practitioners gave us seasoned insights on issues that constantly evolved and helped us learn beyond the classroom. Our journey of applying theoretical knowledge to practical situations started right in the first term. It will continue with us for each term, preparing us to venture into the corporate world for when we pass out. This is what the clubs and committees at IMT help the students do. Gain lots of knowledge while enjoying our work. The best part is that the clubs and committees at IMT Hyderabad are completely student- driven, giving us the liberty to implement classroom learning practically. While we work in teams at these clubs, I can say that I have evolved as a team player in the past few months. As a part of various clubs and committees, I am able to enhance my management skills while planning, organizing, managing finances, and coordinating during events.
