With the vision of grooming leadership, research and entrepreneurship in society, IMT created E-cell in the early 2000s to support students with a keen interest in entrepreneurship. During its 12 years of functioning, E-cell has seen the launch of 20+ start-ups from the campus by the students. Seeing the success of these start-ups, IMT decided to launch the IMT Innovation and Incubation Centre to broaden the horizon of the audience catered to. The Innovation and Incubation Centre will have 2 divisions, one for holistic incubation activities in focus areas and one for acceleration support.

The sector focus areas for Incubation division will be following:

• Sports
• Consulting
• D2C
• Retail
• E-commerce
• Data Science
• Sustainability

Here the Innovation and Incubation centre would take a deep dive with future entrepreneurs and provide complete support from ideation stage to scale and growth stage.

The second division will be a sector agnostic acceleration division catering to start-ups which are in post proof of concept stage but pre- product launch stage. The Innovation and Incubation Centre here will act as a consulting arm providing support to start-ups in their product market fit stage to growth stage of the concern. The state-of-the-art incubator will be based out of IMT-Ghaziabad campus, Ghaziabad, UP. The incubator promises to provide physical space for start-ups, IMT exclusive resources like a strong alumni base; its faculties and its rich domain expertise in business to support a nurturing future start-up.
