Brief Profile

Dr. Garima Saxena is fellow of XLRI-Xavier School of Management, Jamshedpur. She has a keen interest in understanding consumers’ choice and decision-making processes, and exploring the salesperson-customer dyad. Her thesis work examined the effect of retail salesperson’s efforts, consumers’ knowledge and different shopping situations on consumers’ intention to consult the salesperson. She specializes in teaching courses on consumer behaviour, retail management and integrated marketing communications.

She completed her MBA (Marketing) as a university rank holder from Alliance Business Academy, Bangalore University. She, subsequently, also served in the Marketing department of Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. at Durgapur, West Bengal. She is an excellent orator, and an avid reader of fiction and non-fiction literary books.
