Dr Danda brings with him a vast experience of over two decades as a sustainability practitioner. From an industry standpoint, he has delivered projects in the area of off-grid rural electrification and electric mobility, climate resilient agriculture, and tiger conservation. Currently, as thematic lead on adaptation to climate change, he provides technical advice and guidance on integrating climate adaptation to WWF’s programmes and landscapes, builds capacity on adaptation, and contributes to policy dialogue on adaptation to climate change at the national and state levels.
Dr Danda holds a PhD from University of Twente, PG Diploma (Environment Management) from IISWBM, Kolkata and MA (Sociology & Social Anthropology) from North Bengal University. He has published intermittently in journals in the past few years. He also has influential policy documents to his credit. His areas of interest include Sustainability, Sustainable Development, Adaptation to Climate Change and Institutional Dynamics.
Dr Danda has delivered a number of public lectures in his areas of interest to international audiences in the US, Netherlands, France, and South Korea. He is a recipient of IUCN-Ford Foundation award for his research on Sustainable Development.
