Placements at IMT Hyderabad for two year PGDM 2020-22
IMTH’S vision is to be a leading B school nurturing socially responsible business leaders. In line with this vision, the Corporate Relations and placements team works with students to give them not only placements, but also a complete exposure in the form of live projects, industry interactions, mentorship by senior leaders, a program called campus connect where students are exposed to interactions with various industry leaders and professionals and summer internships.
What distinguishes IMTH placements from some other B-Schools is that we help students not only get their first job, but also carve a career for themselves. If you look at the placements statistics, in nearly 50% of the placements that happen at IMTH, our students are required to work in global teams. This enables them to have culture diversity, networking option with global team members, going on site/get a break with a client overseas and so on. This also enhances their learning and thought process. Similarly, a large chunk of placements that we do involves students to get a rotational experience and finally choose his/her role based on his/her skill sets and experience.
We do also have a meticulously designed placements training program- we not only bring companies to campus but also train our students on how to crack these companies. There are inputs and domain refresher sessions by our faculty before every placements process. There is also an initiative called- ‘Words of Wisdom’, where we invite our alumni to share their journey and how they cracked some of the best global companies.

The placement readiness training and faculty input sessions that we provide before each placement process has tremendously helped our students crack the placement process of companies. Special mention can be made where the number of offers per company have increased from 2.68 last year to 5.3 this year, a jump of nearly 100%.
Also notable is the hike in average CTC. The average CTC has considerably increased by 26.7% from the previous year and is INR 9.27 LPA this year, which highlights the increased CTCs that IMTH students are getting.
