The Post-Graduate Diploma in Management for Working Executives (PGDM WE ), one of the oldest on campus weekend mode programs in the region, which was started by the Institute in 1981. An All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) approved, it is best suited for busy working executives who are looking for a jump in their career but wish to complete their MBA without leaving their job. In addition to working executives, this program is also useful for entrepreneurs and executives. The program is aimed at providing opportunities to working professionals to take up formal management education while pursuing their jobs in order to gain knowledge and build on management skills, and, to develop them into more effective managers in the industry. It intends to create managerial competencies in working executives.

The PGDM Program for WEs is a 2 year program for participants who would like to pursue their management education while continuing to work. IMT Ghaziabad PGDM WE offers optimum work life and learning balance without compromising the jobs of executives. It is very different from Distance learning or correspondence program. It offers seamless interaction opportunities with faculty members with on-campus classes on every alternate weekend. The program offers an extremely robust architecture with a focus on workshops, self-paced courses, Harvard certificate courses, professional certification, track-based specializations, industry projects, and optional international immersion.

  • There is no cut-off score/percentile criteria in competitive exam scores. The selection will be based on candidate’s profile evaluation, subject to meeting eligibility criteria and interview performance.
  • In case of company sponsored candidate, competitive exam scores/percentile is not required. It is a mandate for all company sponsored candidates without test scores to share an official sponsorship letter in company letterhead/company email ID, before joining campus for the program

Is the program and course structure similar to the full time PGDM program?

It is similar as they are both programs are meant for students who wish to pursue a PGDM, but different as this program is aimed more for candidates who have some degree of work experience and hence are at some managerial capacity in their respective organizations. The course will be taught with the understanding that since most candidates are seasoned professionals, they have some basic understanding of managerial skills.

How this will be different from any PGDM distance program?

The PGDM-WE program is a campus contact program which essentially means you have to physically attend classes as per given schedule (usually weekends). You have a face to face interaction with your faculty and peers which enhances learning opportunities and networking options. Whether it is opening an entrepreneurship venture with your peers or getting connected for career opportunities, it gives you a wider platform which a PGDM distance learning program does not.

Will I earn a diploma, certificate or a degree after successful completion of the program?

Successful candidates will be awarded the Post Graduate Diploma in Management from IMT Ghaziabad, which is approved by AICTE and accredited by AACSB

What is the class composition?

The class is a mix of participants from different companies, MNCs, Private and Public Companies and PSUs. There are some sponsored candidates too from reputed PSU’s and private companies in India. Candidates come from varied backgrounds be it engineers, Govt. officials, marketing professionals and entrepreneurs too.

Is there any kind of placement assistance provided to the PGDM-WE aspirants from IMT to get the better opportunity?

The PGDM-WE program is designed for working professionals to continue to work while pursuing their PGDM program at IMT Ghaziabad over weekends. This program does not offer any placement assistance.
