International Relations Committee
IMT Ghaziabad is ranked 3rd as per NHRDN report for its International relations,
and the International relations Office at IMT Ghaziabad strives to live up to this
by continuing to engage in new partnerships. Today IMT, Ghaziabad boasts of having
partnerships with over 75 institutes across the world. Spearheaded by the dynamic
and enthusiastic, Dr. Jayanthi Ranjan, along with her student committee the International
Relations works at three different levels. The level one is an exchange program
that includes one or two term exchange with partners. The level two exchange programs
are STEP’s (Short term exchange programs) where student from partner schools come
to IMT, Ghaziabad for a short period of two weeks, for intensive sessions of classroom
lectures, industrial and cultural visits and projects. Level 3 are collaborative
programs where in students from IMT and partner institutes work together on field
practicums, short term consulting assignments and live projects. International linkages
continues to be one of the strongest pillars of IMT Ghaziabad, and International
Relations Committee looks forward to strengthen its ties with the existing partner
universities and try and establish new ones to help make our presence felt globally.

Students on Exchange – Every year International Relations facilitates exchange
programs for the students of its batch from selection of colleges to helping the
students avail of appropriate tickets and VISA services
Faculty on Exchange – International relations also overlooks the faculty
exchange programs for IMT, Ghaziabad. Eminent faculty goes on exchange to choicest
of our partner institutes to teach a gamut of courses. Also, we look after hosting
experienced and renowned professors from our partner institutes to our Campus in
hope to build stronger relations with our Partners.
STEP and Practicums – We conduct Short term exchange programs with our
partner institutes. These STEPs’ essentially comprises of intensive sessions of
classroom lectures, industrial and cultural visits and projects.
Language Classes – International Relations also organizes Spanish, French
and German classes, for 3 months typically from October to December, for the students,
to help them prepare better for their exchange programs.
Radius – International Relations also publishes newsletters which are circulated
internationally to all our partner institutes, giving insights into the latest happenings
of IMT and our international linkages.
Students on Exchange - At present around 80+ students are gearing up to go
on their exchange terms from January- March 2014, to fourteen of our exchange partners.

de Alta Dirreccion de Empresa (Mexico), Grenoble Ecole de Management (France), Leipzig
Graduate School of Managemen(Germany), ESC Rennes School of Business (France), Euromed
Marseille Ecole de Management (France), EM Strasbourg Business School(France), ALBA
Graduate Business School (Greece), Burgundy School of Business (France), Chonnam
National University (South Korea), Nottingham Trent University (United Kingdom)
,Rouen Business School(France), Toulouse Business School(France), University of
Stellenbosch(South Africa) and Universidad De Navarra(Spain).
Faculty on Exchange - We also have exchange programs for faculty members
in which experienced professors from IMT Ghaziabad visit partner institutes to teach
specialized courses. This year a couple of our esteemed faculty like Prof.V.K.Gupta,
Prof. Shubhadeep Bhattacharya, Prof. Ashish Verma visited institutes like Normandy
Business School (France), University of HAIFA (ISRAEL), KIMEP (Kazakhastan).
International Relations also facilitates for the professors from our partner institutes
to come and teach courses at IMT. This year we had the privilege of hosting Prof.
Kongkiti Phusavat from University of Kasetsart who taught Quality Management & Six
Sigma, Prof. Birud Sindhav from University of Nebraska, Omaha gave a seminar on
Doing business in China for IMT Faculty, Prof. Mikołaj Pindelski from Warsaw School
of Economics who taught Service operations Management. At present on our campus
we are delighted to have Prof. David Newlands from IESEG (France) who teaches a
course on Operations Strategy.
STEP - We take pride in announcing that as a result of a series of successful
STEP, we have signed a MoU with an Indo-German export promotion NGO under the ministry
of commerce and are working with them on innovative programs. Continuing our association
with Sampoerna Business School, Indonesia, five of our very talented students from
IMT, Ghaziabad did short term programs with the institute. There are also ongoing
efforts to organize faculty visits from Indonesia to India, which would further
strengthen the relationships between two institutes. Twenty six students of IMT
this year had been for STEP program to Dubai. It was an intensive program which
touched upon topics such as Doing Business in Dubai, Islamic Finance and Banking,
Economic policies in GCC, Oil and Economic Development etc. There were also Industry
visits organized to Khalifa Industrial Zone(KIZAD) Abu Dhabi, Lamprell Group and
Camelicious. Students of International Business School of Service Management, Germany
visited our campus from 19th October 2013 to 25th October 2013 for a short term
exchange program which was packed with lectures, field and industrial visits and
also a leisure trip to Agra.
Practicums – International Relations Committee is now hosting the students
of Copenhagen Business School, Denmark for their visit to India from 19th November
2013 to 28th November 2013.
Language Classes – The International Relations strives all year long to deliver
at all the three levels and besides these we also organize Spanish, French and German
classes for the students of IMT, Ghaziabad which saw great enthusiasm from the student
community of IMT. The students are being taught by experienced faculty from the
Alhambra Institute and would be certified for successful completion of the course.
International Newsletter – IRC’s official newsletter Radius was published
in November 2013 which included exchange experiences of faculties and students,
and highlighted the benefits of being on an exchange program.
