Mini Mathur, Television Presenter- Actress and a VJ- PGDM 1993
After an English literature degree from Lady Shriram College, Delhi University, and a business management degree from IMT, Ghaziabad, Mini worked with J.Walter Thompson on accounts like Pepsi and Nestle. Within two years, she had alsomodelled for prestigious brand names such as Rayban, Hero Honda, Ultra doux shampoo, Freya skincare, etc. Soon she began traveling around the country, hosting India’s first game show on ZEE TV – Tol Mol Ke Bol; and also Hit Thi Hit Hai on ZEE TV, Hit Hit Hurray on HOME TV, Khoobsurat on ZEE TV followed the next year, along with television soaps like Tannav, Vakaalat on ZEE and Khwahish on SONY TV.
Stepping behind the camera, she was Producer on two documentaries – “A nation celebrates”- a film commissioned by the Ministry of External affairs to commemorate 50 years of India’s independence (premiered on star plus on 15th august, 1998) and ‘From corner shops to lords”- a film also commissioned by the MEA on successful NRIs in England.
With India’s no.1 music channel - MTV for four years Mini has hosted many shows. As a VJ and MC, Mini has hosted music summits, concerts for international acts like Deep Purple, Junoon and Bryan Adams, awards and pageants for MTV and over 300 corporate events for brands such as Pepsi, Airtel, Microsoft, Coke, Bacardi, Honda, Ralph Lauren as well as sports tournaments like the World Billiard Championship and many more.
She has also completed a very successful tour across 21 cities in the U.S.A and Canada hosting stage shows on India’s official entry to the Oscars- ‘Lagaan’.
A keen traveler, adventure sport enthusiast and scuba diver, she has traveled all across India, South East Asia, Europe, U.K, Africa and U.S.A. Currently, Mini is hosting the extremely popular ‘Indian Idol’ on Sony Entertainment Television. Mini is also presenting an extremely popular series for BBC2 in England called “Bombay Blush”.
