Prof. Abraham Koshy

Abraham Koshy, working as Professor of Marketing at Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad since the last two decades, is a top-rated teacher, researcher, consultant and a corporate trainer. He is also a Visiting Professor at the European School of Management in Paris and Glasgow University, UK. At IIM Ahmedabad, has held several important administrative positions and currently he is the Chairperson of IIM’s prestigious 2-year Post Graduate Program (PGP).
Professor Koshy is a co-author of the book on Marketing Management along with the legendary Marketing guru Prof. Philip Kotler and others (Marketing Management: A South Asian Perspective by Kotler, Keller, Koshy and Jha; Pearson Education, New Delhi, 2006, 2008). This edition has now become the largest selling edition of book on marketing management in the world, second only to the Chinese edition. In addition, he is a co-author of the book Growth and Transformations of Small Firms in India (Oxford University Press) and a co-editor of two books, namely, Managing Alternatives (Macmillan India Limited) and Marketing of Information Products and Services (IIM Ahmedabad). Besides, he has published several research papers and case studies in reputed journals, has contributed chapters in books, and has presented papers in many national and international research seminars. Professor Koshy’s areas of expertise, research and consulting interests are on developing marketing strategies, brand management, product policy, and new product strategy. Professor Koshy is closely associated with several companies in India and abroad as a consultant in addressing decision issues relating to these themes. He has conducted executive programs for several companies in India and in countries such as Singapore, France, United Kingdom, Sultanate of Oman, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, Kenya, Mauritius, Malaysia and Egypt.
He is an independent member in the Board of Directors of public limited companies such as The Federal Bank, Malayala Manorama, Cera Sanitarywares, Autoline Industries, and Spartak Cements and Chemicals. Besides, he is a member in advisory committees constituted by government organizations and industry associations. |
