Mark-a-Reter makes a mark at Nielsen's Rural Marketing Innovation challenge

IMT's team 'Mark-a-Reter' emerges as one of the top 6 finalist for Nielsen case study competition at IIM-Ahmedabad in September 2013 competing against top 25 B-schools of India. Team Mark-a-Reter comprising of Partha Chowdhury and Abhik Datta showed their mettle by getting selected as top-6 team to present in front of the top management of Nielsen. During the event IIM-Ahmedabad attracted best minds from all over India to compete for the coveted ‘Rural Marketing Innovation’ challenge by Nielsen, the American global information and Measurement Company. The team impressed the jury with their innovative solution within the short period given and received appreciations from Mr Sameer Shukla, Regional Client Business Partner at the Nielsen Company.

It was held at IIM- Ahmedabad as a part of ‘Insight’ IIM-A’s Annual Marketing Conclave. One challenging case study and only 12 hours to find the best innovative solution. The second round was more challenging as Nielsen’s top executives were closely looking at the depth of solutions and feasibility of every quoted numbers. They were impressed by the solution of ‘opinion leader model’ provided by the team. The team was thankful to faculty members, friends and their families for all the support.
