Dr Varun Dawar has worked extensively in financial markets as an equity analyst and fund manager with firms like JP Morgan and Max Life Insurance limited. In his previous industry role, Professor Dawar had conducted in-depth fundamental research on companies in Indian Banking and Oil and gas industry for approximately USD 4 billion in assets under management and provided buy/sell recommendation. Professor Dawar was also responsible for managing USD 60 million fund invested across equity and debt markets and taking fundamental research based investment calls with respect to equity and debt investments in line with mandate of the fund and investor’s risk appetite.
