Dr. Santanu K Ganguli is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (FCA) and Ph.D. in finance from the Vidyasagar University (West Bengal). He has got twenty years of experience as a practicing chartered accountant in the area of bank audit, corporate sector audit and accounts, valuation of shares, corporate reporting practice, accounting standards, IFRS and corporate law matters. Prior to joining the Institute of Management Technology – Ghaziabad, he was a Professor of Finance at the Institute of Management Technology- Nagpur and IFIM Business School – Bangalore.
He has been a visiting faculty and guest faculty of the IIM – Calcutta, Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, National Academy of Direct Taxes (NADT) and so on.
He regularly wrote articles from 1997 to 2002 on strategic cost accounting, direct taxes and accounting standard in the Hindu Business Line. He has written a book on Accounting for Taxation.
His empirical papers on corporate finance have been published in various research journals. He has presented papers on corporate finance, chaired sessions and acted as key note speakers in various national and international conferences.
He has conducted numerous management development programmes on Accounting Standards, IFRS and Corporate valuation.
His current areas of interest are corporate finance, portfolio theory, IFRS, role of ownership structure and governance in corporate performance and valuation.
