Fochhochschule Vorarlberg Institute delegates vist to IMT Ghaziabad, India

The Short Term Exchange Program (STEP) organised by IMT, Ghaziabad from Feb 15 to Feb 19, 2010 saw 23 students from Fochhochschule Vorarlberg Institute, Austria and two students from The Business School, London Metropolitan University, UK coming in for the five-day intensive programme.

The entire schedule was broken down into separate forenoon and afternoon sessions, in which the participants visited four companies on the first three days. The companies visited were NTPC Ltd. (a Maha-Ratna Company), Moser Baer, Dominos and BD Pharma. The visits included highly interactive Q & A sessions and a tour of the premises as well.

The last two days were power-packed with Management Development Programme sessions imparted by IMT Faculty in various domains. From Marketing Management to the rise of IT in India and Indian Economy, the participants were also given useful insights into Strategic Management and Emerging Markets in India. In the last three days of the program the students visited IMT staff member’s residence and nearby rural parts to know the culture and lifestyle of people in India and to differentiate between the lower & medium income group and also the networking sessions and interactions with Indian Students in IMT so as to familiarise both parties with each others’ knowledge, viewpoints, culture and business acumen.
